Avantipora encounter: Security forces shot dead four militants, including the two militants who killed TV actress Amarin Bhatt in an encounter late on Thursday night. Both the terrorists were killed in encounters in Avantipora and Srinagar and a large quantity of weapons were recovered from them. Jammu and Kashmir police are now searching for a sleeper cell that harbors terrorists.

Kashmir Zone IG Vijay Kumar said a search operation was launched in Aganhanjipora area of Avantipora after receiving information from an informant. During the house-to-house search, the militants opened fire on the security forces, which led to clashes on both sides. Shortly afterwards, security forces shot dead both terrorists.
Identification of both terrorists
He said the slain militants were identified as Shadi Mushtaq Bhat, a resident of Budgam and Farhan Habib, a resident of Pulwama. Both terrorists had recently joined the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. He shot dead TV actress Amarin Bhatt on Wednesday at the behest of Army Commander Latif. An AK-56 rifle, a pistol and four loaded magazines were recovered from the two. At the same time, two Lashkar-e-Taiba militants were killed in an encounter in Srinagar.

Out of which 3 terrorists belong to Jaish-e-Mohammed and 7 terrorists belong to Lashkar-e-Taiba.
