New Delhi: The Supertech Twin Towers in Noida finally collapsed in just 12 seconds due to a tremendous explosion yesterday, turning into clouds of smoke. The blast was done after a long battle between the residents of Supertech Emerald Court Society and the construction company over the two towers.

Known as Emerald Court, this supertech project is on the expressway connecting Noida and Greater Noida. An official associated with the demolition operation said that a boundary wall of a nearby society and some glass windows were damaged when the towers collapsed.
370 kg of explosives were used to demolish the twin towers of Supertech in Noida.
The quantity of these explosives is actually three times that of the Agni-5 missile, 12 times that of the Brahmos missile, and four times that of the Prithvi missile. These were actually the tallest structures to be demolished in the history of India. Agni-5 ICBM missile weighs 50,000 kg. BrahMos missile is capable of carrying 300 kg of explosive material. The BrahMos missile is a joint venture between India's DRDO and Russia's NPOM. Prithvi is a short-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile, also developed by DRDO.
Mumbai-based Edifices Engineering was tasked with safely demolishing these towers.
