New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated 'Amarita Hospital' in Faridabad, which is considered to be the largest private hospital in the country. This hospital will have 2600 beds and 500 critical beds. Apart from this there will be 81 specializations and 8 centers of excellence. It will have 64 fully networked modular operation theaters and 534 critical care beds. Its 8 centers of excellence will include Radiation Oncology, Cardiac Sciences, Neurosciences, Gastro Sciences, Renal Sciences, Orthopedics and Trauma Transplantation and Mother and Child Care. This hospital has been built in a 130 acre campus under Mata Amritanandamayi Math. Inaugurating the hospital, Prime Minister Modi said that the country will progress in the health sector only with the integration of technology and modernization. India is a country where health and spirituality are closely related. On this occasion Haryana CM Khattar said, 'I think this is the biggest hospital in India. Earlier there were only 7 medical colleges in Haryana but now there are 13 colleges and 9 are in the pipeline. After this there will be one medical college in each district. The Prime Minister said that just a few days ago, the country has entered the elixir of freedom with a new energy. He said that the collective efforts of the country are being respected in this nectar of ours. India is a nation where treatment is service, health is charity. Where health spirituality, both are related to each other. We have the Vedas of medicine. We have also given the name Ayurveda to our medical science. Our traditional Ayurveda doctors have been given the title of Maharishi for their contribution to healthcare in the country.
