PMJJBY and PMSBY: If you have low balance in your account, you will not be able to avail the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Vima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Vima Yojana run by the government. This requires that you always keep a certain amount in your account.
PMJJBY and PMSBY: Various schemes are run by the government for ordinary citizens. You can take advantage of some of these plans by paying a small premium. Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Vima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Vima Yojana (PMSBY) are two such schemes launched by the Central Government for the common man.
Renewal amount will be auto debited
Let me tell you that you can take advantage of these plans by paying a premium. Every year they are renewed till 31st May. For their renewal, you need to have sufficient funds in your bank account. The amount of this renewal is auto debited from the accounts of people registered in previous years.
Cover of Rs 2 lakh for 330 rupees
Let me tell you that people between the ages of 18 and 50 can join Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Vima Yojana (PMJJBY). Life insurance of Rs 2 lakh is available for this at a cost of Rs 330 per year. Similarly, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Vima Yojana (PMSBY) is open to people between the ages of 18 and 70. This includes a cover of Rs 2 lakh on a payment of Rs 12.
The premium for both the plans is Rs 342
Under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Vima Yojana (PMSBY), death or disability due to accident is covered. Provision is made to pay Rs. 2 lakhs to the insured in case of accidental death and Rs. 1 lakhs to the insured in case of partial disability. Accordingly, an annual premium of Rs 342 has to be paid for both the schemes till May 31.
You will not be able to get insurance cover if you do not have sufficient balance in your account. In this case, you will be deprived of an insurance cover of Rs 4 lakh.
