Rajya Sabha elections: BJP announces new list, announces two more names for UP
In which the names of two more candidates from Uttar Pradesh have been announced. Apart from this, the names of Lahar Singh Siroya of Karnataka and Sumarita Valmiki of Madhya Pradesh are also included in this list.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has released one more list for the Rajya Sabha elections. In which the names of two more candidates from Uttar Pradesh have been announced. The names of Mithilesh Kumar and K Laxman from Uttar Pradesh are included. Apart from this, the names of Lahar Singh Siroya of Karnataka and Sumarita Valmiki of Madhya Pradesh are also included in this list.
In fact, a total of four names have been announced in the list released by the BJP late on Monday night. Earlier, while announcing the list of Uttar Pradesh, the BJP had announced six names. The list announced the names of six candidates, including UP's Laxmikant Bajpayee and Radha Mohan Agarwal. Two more names from UP have come up in this episode.
So far, the names of eight candidates from Uttar Pradesh have been decided. All candidates will register at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Earlier, the BJP had fielded 18 candidates from 10 states, including Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The top six candidates in the list were from Uttar Pradesh. The BJP had announced Union Minister Piyush Goyal as its candidate from Maharashtra and Nirmala Sitharaman from Karnataka.
Speaking of elections, elections are to be held on June 10 for 57 seats in 15 states. For this, all the political parties have exerted their full strength. The states in which elections for Rajya Sabha seats are to be held include Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand.
