Cure HIV now after cancer! The disease can be eradicated with just one dose of vaccine!
New Delhi. After cancer, scientists have probably taken a break from incurable diseases like HIV-AIDS. Success has been achieved in developing a vaccine that can kill only one HIV virus. The results of this vaccine lab, developed by researchers at Tel Aviv University in Israel, have been very good. Scientists made some changes in the genes of type-B white blood cells present in the body, which broke down the HIV virus. This success has raised hopes that the cure for diseases like HIV-AIDS is not far off.
There is no cure for HIV-AIDS yet. However, drugs can prevent the spread of the disease and a person infected with HIV can live longer. The disease is transmitted by HIV, the human immunodeficiency virus. The virus attacks the body's immune system. AIDS can occur if left untreated. According to one estimate, by 2020, about 37 million people worldwide would have contracted the disease. It is mainly transmitted from unprotected sex, contaminated blood transfusions, use of infected syringes and HIV-infected pregnant mothers to their babies.
To eradicate this incurable disease, Dr. A team of scientists led by Adi Bargel used B cells to defeat such an HIV virus. According to India Today, these cells produce antibodies in our body to fight viruses and dangerous bacteria. These white cells are formed in the bone marrow. When mature, they reach parts of the body through the blood. Scientists modified the genes of these B cells to interact with certain parts of the HIV virus. This led to some changes in them. These prepared B cells were then competed with the HIV virus, which then appeared to break down. A special feature of these B cells was that as the HIV virus increased its strength, it also increased its capacity and competed with it.
