Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced PM Shri Schools on the occasion of Teachers' Day on September 5, 2022. PM SHRI schools will be opened across the country. These will be developed under the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India i.e. PM SHRI scheme. PM Modi said that this work will be done in phases. In the first phase, 14,500 schools will be developed and upgraded as PM Shri schools. The question is, what will be special about these schools, that will make them different from other schools…?

10 Features of PM Shri School
Announcing the PM Shri, PM Narendra Modi said, these will be model schools which will be fully aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP). They will get funds from the Centre.
Modi tweeted that PM Shri schools will be completely modernized. School buildings will also be upgraded. This will be molded according to modern infrastructure.
These schools will not only have smart classrooms, but also use the latest technology in computer labs, laboratories, libraries and other places.
In these schools, more and more experiential, transformative and holistic i.e. holistic development/integrated approach (having all kinds of indoor, outdoor activities) will be adopted for teaching, learning.
Discovery oriented and learning centric teaching method will be implemented in these schools. That is, it will be taught in such a way that children develop the ability to learn and discover new things. Not that Gokhwani. Education in sports and toy based education will be imparted.
These schools will be made top not only in education but also in sports facilities. There will be opportunities to learn, play, play every popular game.
PM Shri schools will also have art rooms. That means creativity and art in children's personality will also develop from childhood.
These schools will be developed as green schools. Their campuses will be designed in such a way that, from water conservation to waste recycling, energy savings will be taken care of.

According to the official statement of the Ministry of Education, the focus will be on every child in every class. How much does each child learn? For this, there will be assessments at each level, testing whether children know how to apply what they are learning in real life.
