LPG prices soar: Domestic LPG cylinder prices rise, another blow to inflation

The impact on the price of new domestic LPG cylinders has come as a shock to the common man. The price of domestic LPG cylinder has gone up. Its price has gone up by Rs 50.

Domestic LPG cylinder price hike: Today (Saturday) the general public has felt another shock of inflation. The price of a domestic LPG cylinder has gone up by Rs 50. The increased price of domestic LPG cylinders has been implemented across the country from today.

Increase in the price of domestic LPG cylinders

Earlier, on March 22, the price of domestic LPG was hiked by Rs 50 per cylinder, after which the price of a subsidized 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi reached Rs 949.50. After today's price hike, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi is now Rs 999.50.

Consumption of LPG decreased

According to preliminary data from the petroleum industry, LPG consumption in April fell 9.1 per cent to 2.2 million tonnes on a monthly basis, an increase of 5.1 per cent over April 2021. Before March, the price of domestic LPG was changed on October 6 last year.

The price of commercial LPG cylinders has also gone up

On May 1, state-owned oil companies also hiked the price of commercial LPG cylinders. Commercial LPG cylinders have gone up by Rs 102.50. The price of a 19-kg commercial gas cylinder has gone up from Rs 2,253 to Rs 2,355.50 in Delhi on May 1 after the new price was introduced.

Know that on May 1, jet fuel also became expensive. In Delhi, the price of air turbine fuel has gone up to Rs 116851.46 per kiloliter. Earlier, on April 16, the price of ATF was increased.
